Raja Ravi Varma is an iconic Indian artist, who is known for his unique oil paintings, mainly depicting scenes from epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana. His work combined western realism with Hindu iconography, painting deities, Gods, and Goddess in the likeness of human-kind. He was instrumental in making affordable lithographs of his paintings available to the public. His work increased the involvement of the common people with ne art and moulded their artistic tastes. This is an original Ravi Varma lithograph from the press in Karla, Lonavala, Maharashtra. It was printed by Anant Shivaji Desai for sale in Moti Bazar.
